In what circumstances a workman who has been laid-off is not entitled to any compensation?

A workman who has been laid-off is not entitled to any compensation.
(i) if he refuses to accept any alternative employment in the same establishment or in any other neighbouring establishment belonging to the same employer;
(ii) If he does not present himself for work at the appointed time at least once a day;
(iii) if he is laid-off due to a strike or slowing down of production resorted to by any workmen in another part of the establishment. S.25(E)
