Is any notice required to be given for closing down an undertaking?
If any employer intends to close down his undertaking, he has to serve on the Government, at feast 60 days before the date of the intended closure, a notice giving the reasons for the closure. This provision is intended for giving intimation of the closure and not for obtaining permission for the closure. The object of the provision is to prevent the sudden closure of any undertaking.
