Can a workman be removed from service for contracting bigamous marriage (i.e., contracting second marriage while his first wife was alive) when bigamy is not enumerated as misconduct in the Standing Orders applicable to him?
No disciplinary action can be taken for contracting bigamous marriage when bigamy is not enumerated as misconduct under the Standing Orders applicable to him. Removal of the workman from service for such act is illegal.
