Where the Standing Orders of a Company provide for probation period of 3 months, can a Company appoint any workmen on probation for 6 months?

The provisions of Standing Orders prevail over the terms of contract of service. Hence a workman appointed by the Company on probation of 6 months would be deemed to be permanent on completion of 3 months service.
