Is it permissible for an employee to relinquish his rights under the Act?

An employee is prohibited from contracting out of the Act, i.e. from giving up any of his rights under the Act and any contract or agreement made by him relinquishing or reducing his right to a minimum rate of wages or any privilege or concession accruing to him under the Act is null and void.
