An establishment, employing less than 50 persons, working without the aid of power, is not to be covered under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. An establishment, to whom the State Government has extended grant-in-aid, is exempted from coverage under Section 16(1) (b) of the Act.
