Agency supplying man-power is liable to pay minimum wages to its employees as well as overtime in case of extra work. - The Minimum Wages Act, 1948

Any employer, including agency supplying man-power, is liable to pay wages at the rates, as fixed and revised by the State Government from time-to-time, under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, to its employees. An employer, including agency supplying man-power, is also liable to pay overtime to its employees when an employee is put to work on any day in excess of the number of hours constituting a normal working day, the employer shall pay him for every hour or for part of an hour so worked in excess at the overtime rate under any law of the Appropriate Government for the tinie being in force or under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, whichever is higher.
